Congratulations to all of the participants this Saturday, April 11. We had a really great day of music and competition. We played beautifully at times. We had some nerves, tears, and even laughter. But over-all we represented St. Matthew school in a beautiful fashion. Everyone did a very nice job and worked very hard to get to this day. Congratulations, I'll have medals and ribbons for you all on Monday.

As we get into the swing of summer, make sure that you are getting a little practice time in every week. A little practice time goes a long way over the summer. This will help you stay up on your skills and ready for next year, so you don't lose any of the things you've learned this past year! This is especially helpful for new beginners. I really hope you take time to enjoy the summer though. I know I will!

Welcome Back to a new Year!
I look forward to having another great year with all of you. I'm already working on some great music for us. I've been busy this summer preparing to make my final vows. We had the ceremony on August 15. It was beautiful! I was able to give my life over to God forever.

The 4th grade at St. Matthew's school have finally made it. We're far enough along that we will start having the entire band come Tuesday-Thursday. Before you know it we'll really be swinging and moving along. I've also been looking into adding the information for private lesson teachers on the website. Check it out!

Band and Music Director,
I'm a Sister of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George. I really enjoy teaching everything from Kindergarten to 8th grade band, and a little bit of everything in between.
